Well I managed to get the job at Whole foods, only 4 interview later. I let my, apparently unhappy, manager know that I would be quitting. Supposedly I start next week with, what sounds like it's going to be, 16 hours of orientation. I am imagining it like a whole foods boot-camp.
(insert random picture of the self)

And I got a pair of those "fashionable" gladiator sandals from AE and, surprisingly, I LOVE THEM!

| Naruto, again |
[05 Mar 2009|01:38pm] |
Been hitting up the Naruto crack-pipe again. I had stopped watching about 2 years ago at ep. 93-ish. In an effort to catch up to the current season I have restarted it anticipating watching it whenever I may have some free time, but I figured I'd keep it on the back-burner for now. However, over the last week, since I finished Last Exile, i've watched it in almost ALL the free time i've had and am now on ep. 130.
All time fave scene ever = Rock Lee and the Drunken Fist *Nice Guy pose*
In the times when Naruto has not been inhaling my life i've been dappling in art. I've been doing some Photoshop painting practice work with my Wacom tablet which defiantly takes some getting used to. My only digital sketch worth posting is a quick one I did of a strawberry.

In the realm of traditional mediums, i have been practicing my anatomy in pencil on paper, something I have not done in years which puts me out of practice. I would really like to start utilizing my Deviant Art gallery sometime this year.

| Secondary Birthday Goodness |
[16 Feb 2009|01:44pm] |
WE GOT THE LOFT!! We were approved! Hopefully we'll begin moving in this weekend. I'll defiantly be updating on the move.
As far as secondary birthday goodness, we went to the ABQ Natural History Museum again yesterday for most of the afternoon. My personal favorite is the computer history exhibit which takes you from vacuum tubes to future technologies. We also saw the Dynamax movie "the alps" which had wonderful views of Switzerland and a soundtrack by Queen.

| 21st |
[13 Feb 2009|10:24am] |
Yesterday was full of business and new life potentials. I started out my 21st birthday with a Carmel Macchiato and a blueberry muffin on my way to ABQ for a second leasing tour at the Lofts. I decided on a loft, applied for it, and we will hear back next week.

Next I went to Cottonwood mall for a little self-splurging. I ended up getting 15% off my purchases at American Eagle just because it was my birthday ^_^. While I was there I had my preliminary phone interview with Whole Foods which I have confidence went really well. Afterward I met Spring at Fuddruckers where we were both beaten by our burgers. I figured I could splurge since I was meeting Jessica for Nia (exercise class).
I was sweaty and hurting as we left the class and headed to Jennifers to pick something up then....SURPRISE!!!! Everyone was there, with a table of balloons and presents, 4 delicious pizzas and I had no idea. It was hard to know how to react to my first ever surprise party but I enjoyed it. For my birthday I got mostly new home goodies which I hope to begin moving in to a fab new apartment sometime late next week. I didn't get any pictures because I had left my purse at Jessicas and its not like I was expecting a surprise party.

| Imagining warmer weather |
[29 Jan 2009|08:45am] |
Its been fairly cold and windy here. Mainly dry and very brown. I used to dislike those times of year in wisconsin when it was neither white nor green, when everything just looked dead and crunchy. I thought to post a couple pictures to bring back memories of, the time and place that I thought had the perfect weather.
The time: Beginning of October, the day before we left for New Mexico The place: A southern California Beach

That really felt like the perfect day. We had just eaten at Joe's Crab Shack, the weather was perfect and our future lay ahead of us.

| Errands ran in record time |
[27 Jan 2009|01:28pm] |
I got all my errands done today in record time helped along by the fact that everywhere I went was virtually free of lines. Weather was a bit screwy though, I was just outside playing with my new hoop in a T-shirt in the warm sun when it mysteriously started snowing. New Mexico weather is incredibly unpredictable...
I did make it to Ross in search of a new bag and was lucky enough to find Harajuku Lovers bags still in stock at a third of the original price. After much deliberating I chose the smaller "snow bunnies" handbag. SO CUTE! Just had to pose it with my Harajuku Girl hoop ^_^

Ate lunch for a small stack of quarters at Robeks (smoothie place). Got a Chicken Pesto Focaccia sandwich which came with some of the best customer service i've seen for a good long while. Sandwich was good, a teeny bit small and came with exactly 4 carrot sticks.

| A yesterday post due to temporary net loss |
[27 Jan 2009|08:59am] |
Woke up this morning to a power outage. My APS backups were beeping at me, letting me know that in a couple minutes all our electronics would be without power. The big bummer is that the router reset so before I can post I have to investigate what happened. Still tripping me out that all the lights are still flickering, makes me wonder if its all in my head. Either way, I have my morning coffee so life is good. (edit: One of our routers has died due to the resulting power surge of the morning outage. Fuck..)
I would also like to share with all you my new Gaia Avatar. She is nearly complete thanks to the kindness of another gaian. Getting my dream avi granted one lonely morning really brightened my spirits for the entire day. ^_^

Boba review: Bubble Tea & Coffee What we got: I got the strawberry milk tea w/boba and M got the Orange Milk Tea w/boba.
Mine rather sucked actually. It tasted like super sweet, high fructose corn syrup strawberry candy which did not resemble strawberry too much. The amount of boba was minimal coming with only about 20 balls in a 20 oz. beverage. The orange was alright, tasting like Sunny D but still stingy on the boba. I probably wont go there again and will have have to get my boba fix from my fave San Diego place next time I am down there.
